Real soap lovers cannot and will not be satisfied with the hotel shower gel or the bars of soap that declare themselves as natural soap. It says "natural" on the packaging but you know and feel it's industrial. Somewhere during the stay I started missing my favorite soap. "Why didn't I take it with me?", I once asked myself on a trip to France. The thing is that I didn't want my soap to suffer the journey. After every morning shower, I would lock her into a soap box. Being wet and melt, the poor soap would rub herself off inside the box. When I opened the soap box again, some of the soap would hang on the walls as abrasion. So I went without my soap and used the hotel shower gel...
Since I was already working on magnetic soap holders, I was motivated to come up with something here as well. In a soap dish, a bar of soap keeps softening. However, a soap bar, especially a cold processed soap must be able to dry from all sides. In normal soap dishes, at least one side of the soap always remains in contact with at least one side. There, the soap does not dry and inside a soap box the wet side of the soap will rub off against the wall. The result is sorrowful loss of soap. Draining grids inside the soap box don't really help either. Since the soap doesn't dry immediately, the material that is still soft rubs off on the draining grid as it moves.
The solution that evolved for me was a travel soap box that could hold the soap without contact to any of the walls.
The reasons why a regular soap can doesn't really work for storage and travelling with a soap
- The wet soap sticks to the bottom of the soap box
- Even with a draining grid, soap loss occurs because the wet soap will rub over the draining grid
- When traveling, the soap box is usually used as a soap dish, in which the soap cannot dry properly.
The SAVONT Traveler soap box
The Traveler soap box combines a soap box and a removable magnetic soap holder in one.
The Traveler has a smooth surface on the inside where one of our magnetic suction cup soap holders can be easily attached. The magnetic force of the soap holder is great enough to ensure that the soap is not a constant rub with the sides of the can. The soap box has an oval shape, so it accommodates many different soap shapes. It easily slips into the toiletry bag with ease. A flexible strap allows you to hang the soap box and ensures that the top and bottom always stay together.
How to travel with your soap with the Traveler soap box
After using your soap, let it hang on the soap holder for a few seconds to allow excess water to drip off. Release the suction cup of your soap holder from the shower or sink and stick it into the bottom half of the soap box. Now place the soap on the magnetic holder. Make sure the soap holder is as centered as possible in the soap box so that the soap does not have contact with the walls of the box. Close the Traveler and off you go!
Don't worry, the soap box won't open in the middle of your trip and let the soap fall out. The top and bottom parts are firmly connected via tongue and groove. In addition, both parts are connected by the soap band, which means that no part can get lost and allows the soap box to be hung up.
So why the Traveler soap box?
The soap box is unique from many points of view
- the soap can dry completely in the closed soap box
- combines a magnetic soap holder with a soap box
- allows convenient use of your own soap when you are on travel
- is big enough to carry all different sizes of soaps up to 150g
Now you know why the Traveler soap box is unique. We put a lot of thought into designing our products to be useful. Always with the goal in mind to make it easy to use bar soaps.
