Traveler is the first soap box that always has a magnetic soap holder with it.
The soap is magnetically attached to the soap holder so that it does not touch the wall. In normal soap tins, the moist soap rubs off, leaving behind dirt and waste.
Traveler, is simple and practical: remove the soap and soap holder and attach it to the shower or washbasin at home or in the hotel. On departure, place the moist soap on the soap holder in the soap box, where it will dry completely.

Criteria for choosing a soap holder or soap dish
The purpose of a soap holder is to extend the life of a soap by allowing it to dry quickly and from all sides. If the soap rests anywhere, there is an increased loss at this point. Another point is its flexible attachment, without having to stick it to expensive tiles or even drill holes. A soap holder should not take up any unnecessary space, as many small items are usually needed in the bathroom anyway. Finally, there is also the question of whether the soap holder ensures cleanliness: if it is outside the washbasin, water droplets will get everywhere when you reach for the soap. So consider the following points
- Can the soap dry from all sides?
- Is the soap holder flexible and reversible in the shower and washbasin?
- Does the soap dish take up extra space at the washbasin?
- Does the soap holder get dirty easily or do you get water on the bathroom furniture when you reach for the soap in the soap dish?

What types of soap holder are there?
Advantages of bamboo soap dishes
Bamboo soap dishes are environmentally friendly as bamboo is a rapidly renewable raw material. Their natural design matches almost any bathroom decor and creates a beautiful picture. Bamboo is naturally water-repellent, lightweight and robust.
Disadvantages of bamboo soap dishes
The main disadvantage from our point of view is that the soap has to rest on the bamboo. This means that the soap cannot dry completely. The next time it is used, more soap is lost from these soft areas. Another disadvantage is the space required: the soap dish has to be placed on the edge of the washbasin. If you reach for the soap, especially in the case of countertop washbasins, water droplets will fall onto the bathroom furniture. Another disadvantage is that the dripping water collects under the soap dish and forms dirt there.
Bamboo as a material can lose its color over time. If the wood is permanently exposed to water, bamboo can swell and deform.
Advantages of soap dishes with drip rack
The draining grid allows most of the soap to dry. Excess drops flow outside the soap dish area.
Disadvantages of soap dishes with drip tray
The disadvantage of the soap dish with draining grid is that the soap has to rest on the grid. The soap cannot dry on these ribs. It remains soft there and the next time it is used, more soap is lost. As with the bamboo soap holder, excess drops flow under the soap dish and form a water-soap mixture on the edge of the washbasin that dries out later and needs to be cleaned regularly. Another disadvantage is that extra space is required at the edge of the washbasin. A horizontal shelf is required in the shower where the soap dish can be placed. The soap dish also always needs to be cleaned because the soft soap wraps around the grid.
Advantage of magnetic soap holders with adhesive mounting
The advantage of all magnetic soap holders is that the soap can dry from all sides.
Disadvantage of soap holders with adhesive mounting
L-shaped magnetic soap holders are only suitable for wall mounting above the washbasin. It is important to note that you have to reach outside the washbasin with your wet hand to pick up the soap. This leads to water dripping outside the washbasin. An L-shaped magnetic soap holder is rather unsuitable due to the protrusion in the shower.
It must be ensured that the adhesive mounting can be removed again without leaving any residue.
Does the magnet have extra magnetic protection? If not, we recommend gently returning the soap to the magnet. This protects the magnet and increases its service life.
Advantage of soap dishes with suction cup attachment
These soap dishes can be attached to the tiles in the shower or above the washbasin without drilling or gluing. They are flexible if you want to change something in the bathroom.
Disadvantages
The soap remains in contact with the soap dish. Complete drying is not possible.

This solution also does not allow the soap to dry completely, as the soap needs to rest on the surface.
